Regional Team Program

The Regional Team Program is set to launch in 2023 and is the stepping stone to Team Manitoba. This program is meant to offer support and training to the top provincially-competitive regional athletes in the province in the following categories: Open, U19, U17, U15, and U13. 

The Manitoba Badminton Regional Team Program is designed to provide our athletes with opportunities to receive the training, support and experiences they need to excel in provincial and national competitions.  The intent of this program is to support our provincially-competitive athletes to continue their competitive aspirations and represent Manitoba in regional, provincial, and inter-provincial competitions as well as help the rest of the team in their development.  Athletes in Team Manitoba are expected to be positive role models within the badminton community and represent the Manitoba Badminton Association to the best of their abilities at events throughout the province and, when applicable, the country.

The Regional Team Program is an extension of a player's club program and a stepping stone to Team Manitoba within our performance pathway. Players involved in the program are expected to continue to play and train in their club environment.
