Good Day Manitoba Badminton Community,
My name is Paul Poirier and I am the Vice President of Badminton Manitoba. For those of you who don't recognize my name, you might know my daughter's Serenity, a current member of the Canada Winter Games Team, and Paisley, who has played badminton in our province for many years. My vision for badminton in our province involves an inclusive community where all corners of the province can enjoy the love of badminton equally.
Here are a few things going on within our community that I am sure many of you would like to know:
1. the current Executive Director, Melanie Cure, is on leave which is why we have a posting for an Interm Executive Director which closes today
2. two members of the Board of Directors, Marj Niemi and Mariette DeGagne, have resigned from the board, we will be appointing a new board member for the remainder of the term which is till the annual general meeting
3. a new accountant has been hired and has been working dilligently to get us caught up with our financial statements
