Events: Mens Singles, Womens Singles, Mens Doubles, Mixed Doubles

 

Age Categories: 30+, 45+, 60+

 

Age categories with low entries may be combined with the next lower age catefory to guarantee more matches for the players.

 

Cost: 

1 Event $45

2 or 3 Events $55

Participants must have an active current 2019/2020 season Regional membership.

(Membership purchase or upgrade is available at time of registration)

The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada.

 

 

Manual Registrations subject to a $10 admin fee. 


Late registrations are not guaranteed to be accepted,

however if they are accepted they will be subject to a $10 late fee & $10 manual fee,

& individuals may not be included in seeding.

 


Entry fees are payable on-line at the time of registration.

 

Registration Deadline: Thursday, March 12,2020 @ 11:59pm

 

Includes:

 

3 Matches/Event, Souvenir bottle of wine, Yonex Feather Shuttles, Referee, and Manin Round Winner/Runner-Up Prizes.

Winners of 45+ are engraved on the Barry Ursell Trophy

 

Tournament Description:

Come out for a great atmosphere, plenty of matches and a tournament that is full of fun and excitement.

The only tournament in Manitoba that is exclusive to adults 30 years of age and older makes for a great social atmosphere.

 

Regulations:

 

 

Refund Policy: Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships or Tournament Registration Fees unless requests are accompanied by a medical note or immediate family crisis.

 

Availability:  Players must make themselves available for the entirety of the event, and personal situations will not be taken into consideration for timing purposes.

 

Due to the speed of play being unpredictable, participants are asked to be ready well ahead of their posted schedule. It is ultimately the player's responsibility to be present for the start of their match.

 

The tournament will enforce a strict 10-minute disqualification rule and 2-minute warm-up rule.

 

Clothing: Participants must have an indoor change of clothing and non-marking athletic shoes

 

Equipment: Participants must bring their own racquets

Coaching: Please complete your Respect in Sport Online Certification and hold an active membership with Badminton Manitoba

 

Approximate Schedule:

Friday: 7:00 pm Start time

Saturday: 9:00 am Start time

Events will be completed before moving on to the next event (Singles, Followed by Doubles, Followed by Mixed).
