START TIMES:
Saturday, April 4th, Singles start 9:00am – up to 11:00pm
Sunday, April 5th, 9:00am, play can go until 5pm

ORDER OF PLAY: Singles played through, followed by doubles.
Doubles may continue into Sunday morning.
Mixed Doubles will only be on Sunday.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday January 2nd at 11:59pm CST

FEES
1 event: $52.38 + GST = $55.00
2 events: $61.90 + GST = $65.00
3 events: $66.67 + GST = $70.00
**Entry fees are payable on-line at the time of registration.
Manual registrations subject to a $10+GST administrative fee.
Late registrations are not guaranteed to be accepted and if accepted, will be subject to a $10+GST late fee.
Individuals registered past the deadline may not be included in seeding.

EVENTS
U11 Singles & Doubles Any Gender
U13/15/17/19 Boys Singles, Girls Singles,Boys Doubles, Girls Doubles, Mixed Doubles

Format: A,B,C,D Drop Down (3 games guaranteed)
Note: if entries are too low then the event will be pool play with playoffs.

PRIZES
Prizes awarded for event winners & runners-up

ELIGIBILITY
Participants must have an active current 2025-2026 season Base, Provincial, or National membership.
The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada.

SHUTTLES
Yonex nylon shuttles will be used. Match shuttles are included in the entry fee.

CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT
Participants must have an indoor change of clothing and non-marking athletic shoes.
Participants must bring their own racquets.
Stringing service will be available.

AVAILABILITY
Players must make themselves available for the entirety of the event. Due to the unpredictability of speed of play, athletes are expected to be ready well ahead of their scheduled match time.
The tournament will enforce a 10-minute disqualification rule and a 2-minute warm-up rule.
Reasonable requests for late starts or timing accommodations are not guaranteed to be accepted and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

COACHING
For field-of-play access, coaches must hold a valid (confirmed or pending) 2025-2026 MBA Coaching License.
Only one coach will be allowed to be present behind the court during any match.

REFUND POLICY
Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships.
Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of tournament registration fees unless requests are accompanied by a medical note or immediate family crisis. This does not apply to partial fee refunds if an athlete paid for 2-3 categories and was unable to secure a partner (thus only competing in 1 event).
