2026 WWC SENIOR OPEN & MASTERS TOURNAMENT

Thursday January 15th at 6pm
Friday, January 16th at 5pm
Saturday January 17th at 9am
Sunday, January 18th at 10am

ORDER OF PLAY (TENTATIVE)
Thursday: Singles events if required (for players living in, or in the vicinity of Winnipeg)
Friday: Singles events
Saturday: Singles (if needed), followed by Doubles, followed by Mixed Doubles
Saturday evening: Semi finals (6pm for main round divisions only)
Sunday: Finals
*Order of play and timing of semi finals & finals are subject to change. *

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday, January 8th at 11:59pm CST

Manual registrations subject to a $10.00 administrative fee.
Late registrations are not guaranteed to be accepted and if accepted, will be subject to a $10.00 late fee. Individuals registered past the deadline may not be included in seeding.


EVENTS
Open A & B Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Ladies' Doubles, Mixed Doubles
Format: Single elimination with consolation round

Masters 30+, 40+, and 50+
Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Ladies' Doubles, Mixed Doubles
Format: Round Robin and or Single elimination with consolation round


PRIZES
Prizes awarded winners and runners-up main round, and consolation winners


ELIGIBILITY
Participants must have an active current 2025-2026 season Base, Provincial, or National membership.
The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada.

FEES
1 event: $75.00
2 & 3 events: additional $10.00

SHUTTLES
Yonex AS-30 feather shuttles

Entry fees are payable on-line at the time of registration.

Lunch will be available for all competitors on Saturday January 17th

PARKING
Tournament registration includes parking from January 16th – 18th
Licence plate to be provided at time of registration. THIS IS FOR NON MEMBERS OF WWC ONLY. One licence plate per registered player (Use the note section to add your licence plate number)


OUT OF TOWN ENTRIES
Participants registering from out of town. Please make a note during your registration

AVAILABILITY
Players must make themselves available for the entirety of the event. Due to the unpredictability of speed of play, athletes are expected to be ready well ahead of their scheduled match time.
The tournament will enforce a 10-minute disqualification rule and a 2-minute warm-up rule.
Reasonable requests for late starts or timing accommodations are not guaranteed to be accepted and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.


REFUND POLICY
The Winnipeg Winter Club does not permit refunds of tournament registration fees unless requests are accompanied by a medical note or immediate family crisis. This does not apply to partial fee refunds if an athlete paid for 2-3 categories and was unable to secure a partner (thus only competing in 1 event).


TERMS & CONDITIONS
In consideration of the acceptance of this entry in the name of the 2025 ASDEL Open, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, waive any claims to which I may become entitled for injury or damage, and release the MBA and all other organizers, sponsors, representatives, their agents and employees and any other person or organization assisting in this event from any claims for damages or injury suffered by me as a result of my participation in, or traveling to, or from, this event, notwithstanding that any such loss, injury or damage may have arisen by reason of the negligence of anyone or more of the aforesaid parties, their servants, agents or employees. I further state that I am in proper physical condition to participate in this program and am aware that participation could, in some circumstances, result in physical injury. I also give my permission for the free use of my name and picture in broadcast, telecast, or written account of this program.
