Manual-entry registrations are subject to a $10 administration fee.
Late registrations (if accepted) are subject to both a $10 late fee & $10 manual-entry fee, and individuals may not be included in seeding.
The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
Friday at 5:00pm: Singles events
Saturday at 8:00am: Singles events (if needed), Men's/Boys' & Women's/Girls' Doubles events
Sunday at 9:00am: Doubles events (if needed), Mixed Doubles

TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE/ESTIMATED AND WILL BE UPDATED ONCE REGISTRATION CLOSES. PLEASE ALLOW FLEXIBILITY.
ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT-BUFFET
Saturday from 7-9pm at The 40 (210 18th Street North)
Buffet included with entry. (Additional tickets available for $10/person; must be requested and paid at draw desk before 12pm on January 8)
No minors allowed after 9pm
AVAILABILITY
Players must make themselves available for the entirety of the event. Due to the unpredictability of speed of play, athletes are expected to be ready well ahead of their scheduled match time.
The tournament will enforce a 10-minute disqualification rule and a 2-minute warm-up rule.
Reasonable requests for late starts or timing accomodations are not guaranteed to be accepted and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
COACHING
For field-of-play access, coaches of junior athletes must hold a valid (confirmed or pending) 2021-2022 MBA Coaching License.
Only one coach per team will be allowed to be present behind the court during any match.
PANDEMIC PROTOCOLS
All participants, coaches, officials, and potential spectators will be required to show proof of vaccination (QR code + government-issued photo ID) to be allowed tournament and building access.
Masks are to be worn by all, at all times, with the exception of participant athletes while on the field of play.
(Please note that Manitoba is currently one of the only provinces able to run any competitions in our sport. We appreciate everyone's collective efforts to keep competition possible and to ensure viability of our tournaments and competitions throughout this season.)
REFUND POLICY
Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships or Tournament Registration Fees unless requests are accompanied by a medical note or immediate family crisis.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
In consideration of the acceptance of this entry in the name of the 2022 Westman Open, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, waive any claims to which I may become entitled for injury or damage, and release the MBA, the Brandon Badminton Club, and all other organizers, sponsors, representatives, their agents and employees and any other person or organization assisting in this event from any claims for damages or injury suffered by me as a result of my participation in, or traveling to, or from, this event, notwithstanding that any such loss, injury or damage may have arisen by reason of the negligence of anyone or more of the aforesaid parties, their servants, agents or employees. I further state that I am in proper physical condition to participate in this program and am aware that participation could, in some circumstances, result in physical injury. I also give my permission for the free use of my name and picture in broadcast, telecast, or written account of this program.
