Tournament Description

Brandon Badminton Club is proud to now offer categories for junior players at their annual Yonex Westman Open!  This means that juniors can look forward to playing players from their own age group, much like all the other Rural Super Series tournaments in Manitoba.

The Yonex Westman Open is a favourite tournament for many Manitobans and Saskatchewanians because the Brandon Badminton Club always does a great job with hospitality.  Just ask anybody who has gone in the past and they will be able to tell you that the atmosphere and competition are all big reasons why they continue to attend.

This tournament is a 0.5 tier tournament on the Badminton Manitoba Tournament Ranking Chart, which makes it on par with the B&C Championships, and higher in ranking points than all the other Rural Super Series tournaments.

Tournament Rules/Regulations

Refund Policy: Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships or Tournament Registration Fees after the registration deadline unless requests are accompanied by a medical note or immediate family crisis.  Registrations can be fully refunded prior to the registration deadline.

Availability: Participants must be available to play during the entirety of the events that they are registered for.  MBA will not accept special requests for time, for any reason.

Due to speed of play being unpredictable, participants are asked to be ready a minimum of 30 minutes prior to their posted match.  It is ultimately the player’s responsibility to be present for the start of their match.

The Tournament will enforce a strict 10 minute disqualification rule and 2-minute warm-up rule.

Clothing: Participants must have an indoor change of clothing and clean/indoor/non-marking athletic shoes

Equipment: Participants must bring their own racquets
