Programs include: Adult Development Program, Youth Program (10-14) and 14+ Age Category

Please note a couple of changes to the upcoming schedule.

The 2026 Yonex Pal Chawla Junior Open was moved to the weekend of February 5-8.

This change opened the door to adjust the date for junior provincials.

The 2026 Yonex Junior Provincial Championships will now take place the weekend of March 13-15.

This event will still have the Junior Player Banquet and Award ceremony as part of the festivities.

These changes were made to better align with the Junior Elite series events that they were conflicting with.

The Brandon Badminton Club has added the 2026 Kawasaki Junior Open to the calendar on April 4 & 5th.

Finally as we look forward to the 2026 Provincial Senior & Masters event in Selkirk we wanted to proactively check on interest.

A simple online form has been created for interested players to add their name to the list.

If you intend to play in this event please take a minute to add your name so we can get a better idea of the potential demand for the event.

MBA Event Page

Badminton Canada recently announced the successful bids for the next 2 years of national events.

We’d like to congratulate C1|DK on their winning bid to host the 2026 & 2027 Canadian Junior National Championships

The first of these events will see two weeks of action May 16 – 23, 2026 in the U13/U15 & followed by the U17/U19 events.

This is great news for Winnipeg and the facility.

Darryl Yung & Dale Kinley worked alongside Tourism Winnipeg & the Manitoba Badminton Association to create the winning bid and secure crucial funding for both events.

An event of this magnitude requires a lot of preparation and support so we’ll be reaching out in the near future with ways that members of our community can become involved as volunteers for the championships.

Players are encouraged to renew the memberships in advance of the events this fall.

Players can click here to renew the memberships or create one if you are new to the MBA.

Note: You may need to log in (top right corner of the page) or create an account if you haven’t had a profile on the site before.

The MBA is now exclusively on Tournament Software (Visual Reality) for our memberships (the same web platform as tournament registrations).

PlayerWeb is no longer in use which should resolve some of the syncing issues we were having.
