The Manitoba Badminton Association’s photographs and newspaper clippings from the 1950’s were scanned for the association’s previous website. The scans were lost from that site before it was retired, and were recovered in 2026 from an archived copy of it.
They are reproduced here as they were scanned. Most are cuttings from the Winnipeg Free Press, the Winnipeg Tribune and the Winnipeg Sun, several still carrying the newspaper’s date stamp and the original caption slip taped alongside. The earliest carries a stamp of 22 November 1952. The old site listed them only as “Photo 1A”, “Photo 1B” and so on, so no description of who appears in any individual image survives.
