Must be MBA Member to participate. MBA Memberships can be purchased during online registration.
We want to welcome all our badminton players from beginner to advanced to the 2015-16 badminton season by hosting a fun and friendly badminton tournament and banquet at an affordable cost. No frills or gimmicks except that we want as many people out as possible, chatting and enjoying the first tournament of the season.
We have an exciting year ahead of us and you can see it by looking at our tournament calendar. We're hosting many tournaments from beginner to national, including the Senior National Championships at Winnipeg Winter Club, and we will be transitioning to the new National Coaching Certification Program this year as well and hosting some new courses.
Due to the results from our tournament survey we are looking to make a few minor changes to the tournament structure as well including less souvenirs/prizes, separating A/B & C/D competitors and lower registration fees.
Thank you to King's Head Pub for sponsoring the season opener again and hosting the banquet for all of us to enjoy! We are sure to spread the word of your great food and friendly atmosphere!
Refund Policy: Badminton Manitoba does not permit refunds of MBA Memberships or Tournament Registration Fees.
Availability: Participants must be available to play during the entirety of the events that they are registered for. MBA will not accept special requests for time, for any reason. All participants must be prepared to play.
The Tournament will enforce a strict 10 minute disqualification rule and 3-minute warm-up rule.
Clothing: Participants must have a change of clothing and non-marking indoor athletic shoes
Equipment: Participants must bring their own racquets
