LEVEL 3 TECHNICAL COURSE

WINNIPEG MB

Course Conductor: Ram Nayyar

Ram is the current Canadian National Team High Performance Manager and Coach.  Some locals may recall that although he grew up in Alberta, he spent the 90's in Winnipeg coaching at the Wildewood Club and was a large contributing member of our community before taking a head coach job at the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club.  Since then he has only moved up - joining Badminton Canada and continuing to be head coach of the VLT.

Ram is a Level 5 Badminton Coach, which is the highest certification that you can achieve in sport in Canada, and has conducted numerous coaching and athlete clinics around the World.  Possibly his most exciting moment in sport may be walking alongside Michelle Li and Alex Bruce at their 4th place performance at the 2012 London Olympic Summer Games.

The Level 3 Certification is a requirement to coach at the Canada Winter Games and to be a part of Team Canada's National Team Coaches.  The Level 3 Certification shows that you have the competency to coach provincal/national athletes to a high level of success.

Participants must be level 2 certified prior to taking the level 3 technical course.  The level 3 course is for coaches who are and are going to be coaching at the Provincial/National level.  Participants are encouraged to take their Comp Dev Theory Modules prior to taking the Level 3 Technical, however it is not required.
